The expert saw signs of American bioterrorism in the spread of coronavirus

Under suspicion of 400 laboratories

The spread of coronavirus infection in China is increasing. The number of infected goes to thousands. Beijing is taking emergency measures to reduce the effects of disaster. Meanwhile, a number of experts note strange coincidences in the circumstances of the emergence of a new infection, against which we do not yet have a vaccine, and its artificial origin will not be ruled out. MK asked to comment on the situation of the former member of the UN Commission on Biological and Chemical Weapons (1998-2003) Igor Nikulin.

-Igor Viktorovich, in recent years, coronaviruses dangerous to humans have appeared more and more often. With what it can be connected?

- The situation with these coronaviruses is indeed very strange. Until 2000, not one of them "jumped" per person. They have been living next to humans for millions of years, but always only parasitized on some animals. For example, on camels, as is the case with the Middle East respiratory syndrome. Or on bats, birds, on anyone, but this infection did not pass on to a person. And there are already 8 deadly viruses in 20 years. Explicitly overkill.

-That is, the man-made origin of these infections cannot be ruled out?
- You see, if this was the first outbreak, then you would still think that this is a natural mutation. But this is hardly natural, because every few years such incidents are repeated. Either atypical pneumonia, then bird flu, then swine, or something else.

-Some experts note that the time of the outbreak of infection in China seems to be chosen specifically to cause maximum harm. Just on the eve of the new year according to the Eastern calendar, when in China mass internal migration for the holidays, as well as events are held involving a large number of people.
-And the place seemed to be specially thought out.

-Do you mean the 12 millionth Wuhan and the densely populated province?
-Not only. Historically and geographically, all roads in China lead to this Wuhan. This is the largest transport hub, a large international airport. Through it fly to the States, Australia, Japan, the Middle East, Paris, London, Moscow.

- Besides these coincidences, what can prove the artificial origin of the virus?
-Only decoding the genome. Its results can show whether it is a virus of natural origin or laboratory, when some recombinant “piece” is inserted into the gene. Now there are modern computer programs, automatic research methods. What researchers spent 30 years ago a year is now done in two weeks. Programs allow you to read all this, decrypt and compare with the samples available in the databases.

- Is it possible that the new coronavirus only affects people of Chinese nationality? That is, asked for certain features of the human gene?
-If it turns out that this is indeed so, then such a natural mutation cannot be for sure. This is mathematical proof that it is an artificially created virus.

-In which laboratories can he appear?
“Of course I can only speculate. But look: China, like Russia, is surrounded by American research bio-laboratories. They are in different countries along the perimeter of the borders of China - in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Taiwan, the Philippines, South Korea and Japan. They were in Indonesia, but closed there.
And wherever these American bio-laboratories are, or nearby, there are outbreaks of new diseases, often unknown. Americans simply ignore threats to the local population. The main thing is that it should be away from the United States.

-How many of these foreign biolaboratory in the United States?
- Already 400.

-They are overseen by the Pentagon?

-Sure. This is all funded by the Pentagon. Therefore, it is not necessary to say that peaceful humanitarian research is being conducted there. Do you think Pentagon money is spent on peaceful research?

-A simple scientist, for example, from Russia can get acquainted with the results of studies conducted in these American laboratories?
-No one is allowed there. These are military laboratories. When in Georgia near such a laboratory more than a hundred people died within one month, do you think someone was let in by an outsider? They didn’t let anyone in. Journalists were shown only pharmacies that report to the Georgian Ministry of Health. No one was admitted to the American laboratory at all. There is a differentiated tolerance.

- What should Russia do, bearing in mind that there is such a threat?
- We need to figure out what kind of virus it is. How to treat him. Create a vaccine. There is no other way. And in general, it is necessary to strengthen the biosafety of the country. That it was not lower, at least as in the Soviet Union.

-There is an international agreement on the prohibition of biological weapons. Did the United States sign it?
-US signed it. But they are categorically opposed to creating the same international body as the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons - OPCW - to monitor the work in the field of biological weapons. Since 2000, they have blocked all initiatives to create such an organization.
I think that we need to create some kind of international organization for the prevention of biological threats. Maybe an agency. For example, within the framework of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization. - MK), perhaps within the framework of BRICS.
Those countries that consider themselves to be victims of bioterrorism should investigate all these cases and bring them up for international discussion. For example, the UN Security Council. To raise the question of the activities of American biolaboratory outside the United States.
Need to do something. Because many are already suffering from this.

State Department cables warned of safety issues at Wuhan lab studying bat coronaviruses

Two years before the novel coronavirus pandemic upended the world, U.S. Embassy officials visited a Chinese research facility in the city of Wuhan several times and sent two official warnings back to Washington about inadequate safety at the lab, which was conducting risky studies on coronaviruses from bats. The cables have fueled discussions inside the U.S. government about whether this or another Wuhan lab was the source of the virus — even though conclusive proof has yet to emerge.

In January 2018, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing took the unusual step of repeatedly sending U.S. science diplomats to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which had in 2015 become China’s first laboratory to achieve the highest level of international bioresearch safety (known as BSL-4). WIV issued a news release in English about the last of these visits, which occurred on March 27, 2018. The U.S. delegation was led by Jamison Fouss, the consul general in Wuhan, and Rick Switzer, the embassy’s counselor of environment, science, technology and health. Last week, WIV erased that statement from its website, though it remains archived on the Internet.

Full coverage of the coronavirus pandemic

What the U.S. officials learned during their visits concerned them so much that they dispatched two diplomatic cables categorized as Sensitive But Unclassified back to Washington. The cables warned about safety and management weaknesses at the WIV lab and proposed more attention and help. The first cable, which I obtained, also warns that the lab’s work on bat coronaviruses and their potential human transmission represented a risk of a new SARS-like pandemic.

“During interactions with scientists at the WIV laboratory, they noted the new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory,” states the Jan. 19, 2018, cable, which was drafted by two officials from the embassy’s environment, science and health sections who met with the WIV scientists. (The State Department declined to comment on this and other details of the story.)

Opinion | U.S. diplomatic cables warned of Wuhan lab safety issues. The world needs answers.
Global Opinions writer Josh Rogin has obtained a 2018 U.S. diplomatic cable urging Washington to better support a Chinese lab researching bat coronaviruses. (Joshua Carroll, Kate Woodsome, Josh Rogin/The Washington Post)
The Chinese researchers at WIV were receiving assistance from the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch and other U.S. organizations, but the Chinese requested additional help. The cables argued that the United States should give the Wuhan lab further support, mainly because its research on bat coronaviruses was important but also dangerous.

As the cable noted, the U.S. visitors met with Shi Zhengli, the head of the research project, who had been publishing studies related to bat coronaviruses for many years. In November 2017, just before the U.S. officials’ visit, Shi’s team had published research showing that horseshoe bats they had collected from a cave in Yunnan province were very likely from the same bat population that spawned the SARS coronavirus in 2003.

“Most importantly,” the cable states, “the researchers also showed that various SARS-like coronaviruses can interact with ACE2, the human receptor identified for SARS-coronavirus. This finding strongly suggests that SARS-like coronaviruses from bats can be transmitted to humans to cause SARS-like diseases. From a public health perspective, this makes the continued surveillance of SARS-like coronaviruses in bats and study of the animal-human interface critical to future emerging coronavirus outbreak prediction and prevention.”

The research was designed to prevent the next SARS-like pandemic by anticipating how it might emerge. But even in 2015, other scientists questioned whether Shi’s team was taking unnecessary risks. In October 2014, the U.S. government had imposed a moratorium on funding of any research that makes a virus more deadly or contagious, known as “gain-of-function” experiments.

As many have pointed out, there is no evidence that the virus now plaguing the world was engineered; scientists largely agree it came from animals. But that is not the same as saying it didn’t come from the lab, which spent years testing bat coronaviruses in animals, said Xiao Qiang, a research scientist at the School of Information at the University of California at Berkeley.

“The cable tells us that there have long been concerns about the possibility of the threat to public health that came from this lab’s research, if it was not being adequately conducted and protected,” he said.

There are similar concerns about the nearby Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention lab, which operates at biosecurity level 2, a level significantly less secure than the level-4 standard claimed by the Wuhan Insititute of Virology lab, Xiao said. That’s important because the Chinese government still refuses to answer basic questions about the origin of the novel coronavirus while suppressing any attempts to examine whether either lab was involved.

Sources familiar with the cables said they were meant to sound an alarm about the grave safety concerns at the WIV lab, especially regarding its work with bat coronaviruses. The embassy officials were calling for more U.S. attention to this lab and more support for it, to help it fix its problems.

“The cable was a warning shot,” one U.S. official said. “They were begging people to pay attention to what was going on.”

No extra assistance to the labs was provided by the U.S. government in response to these cables. The cables began to circulate again inside the administration over the past two months as officials debated whether the lab could be the origin of the pandemic and what the implications would be for the U.S. pandemic response and relations with China.

Inside the Trump administration, many national security officials have long suspected either the WIV or the Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention lab was the source of the novel coronavirus outbreak. According to the New York Times, the intelligence community has provided no evidence to confirm this. But one senior administration official told me that the cables provide one more piece of evidence to support the possibility that the pandemic is the result of a lab accident in Wuhan.

“The idea that it was just a totally natural occurrence is circumstantial. The evidence it leaked from the lab is circumstantial. Right now, the ledger on the side of it leaking from the lab is packed with bullet points and there’s almost nothing on the other side,” the official said.

As my colleague David Ignatius noted, the Chinese government’s original story — that the virus emerged from a seafood market in Wuhan — is shaky. Research by Chinese experts published in the Lancet in January showed the first known patient, identified on Dec. 1, had no connection to the market, nor did more than one-third of the cases in the first large cluster. Also, the market didn’t sell bats.

The Opinions section is looking for stories of how the coronavirus has affected people of all walks of life. Write to us.

Shi and other WIV researchers have categorically denied this lab was the origin for the novel coronavirus. On Feb. 3, her team was the first to publicly report the virus known as 2019-nCoV was a bat-derived coronavirus.

The Chinese government, meanwhile, has put a total lockdown on information related to the virus origins. Beijing has yet to provide U.S. experts with samples of the novel coronavirus collected from the earliest cases. The Shanghai lab that published the novel coronavirus genome on Jan. 11 was quickly shut down by authorities for “rectification.” Several of the doctors and journalists who reported on the spread early on have disappeared.

On Feb. 14, Chinese President Xi Jinping called for a new biosecurity law to be accelerated. On Wednesday, CNN reported the Chinese government has placed severe restrictions requiring approval before any research institution publishes anything on the origin of the novel coronavirus.

The origin story is not just about blame. It’s crucial to understanding how the novel coronavirus pandemic started because that informs how to prevent the next one. The Chinese government must be transparent and answer the questions about the Wuhan labs because they are vital to our scientific understanding of the virus, said Xiao.

We don’t know whether the novel coronavirus originated in the Wuhan lab, but the cable pointed to the danger there and increases the impetus to find out, he said.

“I don’t think it’s a conspiracy theory. I think it’s a legitimate question that needs to be investigated and answered,” he said. “To understand exactly how this originated is critical knowledge for preventing this from happening in the future.”

Many Recovered Patients Have No Or Very Low Antibody Counts, Risking Reinfections

Source: COVID-19 Studies Apr 19, 2020 8 hours ago

COVID-19 Studies: Shanghai researchers are warning that a lot of recovered patients showed no signs of possessing the neutralising proteins or antibodies while majority had extremely low counts.

These could have major implications for vaccine development and herd immunity.

The researchers also warned that recovered patients also possessed a higher risk of reinfections.

The team from Fudan University analysed blood samples from 175 patients discharged from the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Centre and found that more than a third had unexpectedly low levels of antibodies. In some cases, antibodies could not be detected at all.

Neutralizing antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 in a COVID-19 recovered patient cohort and their implications

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.30.20047365v1

Though the study was preliminary and not peer-reviewed, it was the world’s first systematic examination of antibody levels in patients who had recovered from Covid-19, the disease caused by the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus.

Almost all of the patients had recently recovered from mild symptoms of the disease and most of those with low antibody levels were young. The researchers excluded patients who had been admitted to intensive care units because many of them already had antibodies from donated blood plasma.

Typically, antibodies are generated by the immune system and have unique chemical structures to inhibit specific pathogens. The coronavirus antibody intercepts the spike protein on the viral envelope to prevent it from binding with human cells.

The Chinese researchers said they were surprised to find that the antibody “titer” value in about a third of the patients was less than 500, a level that might be too low to provide protection.

More than 30 per cent of patients failed to develop high titers of neutralising antibodies after Covid-19 infection. However, the disease duration of these patients compared to others was similar.

Surprisingly, the researchers also found that antibody levels rose with age, with people in the 60-85 age group displaying more than three times the amount of antibodies as people in the 15-39 age group.

The French researchers commented, “The transmissibility of Sars-CoV-2 showed no signs of weakening in warm and humid conditions.”

French researchers lead by Professor Remi Charrel from the Aix-Marseille University in southern France has discovered that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is able to withstand high temperatures even when heated to as high as 60 degrees Celsius (140 Fahrenheit) for an hour, as it was found the that the new coronavirus was still able to replicate.

SHC014-CoV

SHC014-CoV is a SARS-like coronavirus (SL-COV) which infects horseshoe bats (f. Rhinolophidae), first discovered in China in 2013.

In 2015, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Wuhan Institute of Virology conducted research showing the virus could be made to infect the human HeLa cell line, through the use of reverse genetics to create a chimeric virus consisting of a surface protein of SHC014 and the backbone of a SARS virus.

The SL-SHC014-MA15 version of the virus, primarily engineered to infect mice, has been shown to differ 7% (over 5,000 nucleotides) from SARS-CoV-2, the cause of a human pandemic in 2019-2020.

In April 2020, US President Donald Trump implied during a Members of the Coronavirus Task Force Press Briefing that it is possible that because of its ability to mutate extremely quickly, SHC014-CoV[original research?] is the origin of SARS-CoV-2, the cause of a human pandemic in 2019-2020, stating that it's possible an intern at the Wuhan Institute of Virology was infected by accident and spread the virus to her boyfriend and others when she went to a nearby wet market.

Covid-19 mutations underestimated, Chinese scientists warn, as DEADLIEST strains grip Europe and US

Chinese scientists have found that Europe and America’s East Coast have been infected by some of the most aggressive Covid-19 strains, as they discovered dozens of virus mutations. These destroy a host’s cells faster than others.

The ability of the novel coronavirus to mutate has been previously vastly underestimated, a team from China’s Zhejiang University, led by Professor Li Lanjuan, says in a new study. The group found as many as 33 virus mutations in just 11 coronavirus patients they examined in the city of Hangzhou.

The researchers say that 60 percent of the strains they discovered turned out to be entirely new. In a worrying development, they also discovered that the virus’s mutations directly affect its deadliness. Their research revealed that the most aggressive type of Covid-19 could create a virus load 270 times greater than the least potent one.

“Despite only 11 patient-derived isolates being analyzed in this study, we observed abundant mutational diversity, including several founding mutations for different major clusters of viruses now circulating globally,” the study said.

The virus load is the measure of its quantity in a certain volume of bodily fluid, usually blood plasma. It particularly shows how quickly a pathogen could propagate through the organism and destroy its cells. Unfortunately for Europeans, one of the most aggressive strains found by the Chinese scientists appears to be similar to the one that has spread across the continent, particularly Italy and Spain, the pre-print of the study published on the website medRxiv.org revealed on Sunday.

The same strain came from Europe to New York, which has since become one of the worst affected US states. America’s West Coast, however, appears to be infected by another, less deadly strain that arrived directly from China.

Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean those on the West Coast have less cause for concern, as even less powerful strains can cause a serious ailment, the Zhejiang University team warns. They note that two of the observed patients, in their 30s and 50s, who contracted a weaker strain, still suffered severe symptoms.

Study proves that coronavirus vaccine would never work; might actually create MORE new viruses through recombination in human hosts

Bill Gates, Andrew Cuomo, and others are calling for mass vaccinations against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), even though a vaccine for the novel virus doesn’t yet exist, as a condition for release from lockdown. But a 2015 study reveals that any vaccine for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) would actually create more viruses inside people’s bodies, making the situation worse than it already is.

An honest perusal of this study will more than likely lead you to one conclusion: That there’s never actually going to be a vaccine released for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) because making a truly effective one would never work. Of course, one could still be released that’s claimed to be effective, but any genuine look at it by regulators would surely reveal that it’s bogus, resulting in its rejection.

What this all means for the release of Americans from lockdown remains to be seen, and certainly doesn’t look promising. But the more we can get the following information out to the general public, the better our chances of blowing the lid on the vaccine charade that’s now quite literally keeping people as prisoners inside their own homes.

If you read through this paper, which was actually published in a journal called Coronaviruses, you’ll notice that one of the stated requirements for an effective coronavirus vaccine is to make it live attenuated, meaning it would have to contain live, yet weakened, bits of the actual virus. As you may recall, they already tried this with the so-called swine flu vaccine, which caused horrific side effects in those who received it.

Seasonal flu vaccines are also generally live attenuated, which explains why so many of the people who receive them end up still getting sick from the flu. Whenever you’re dealing with live viruses, weakened or otherwise, in other words, you’re playing with fire, which is exactly what the coronavirus vaccine mafia is doing under the threat of indefinite containment of Americans under government-imposed house arrest.

What you really need to know about live attenuated viruses is that they have the potential to recombine in human hosts, meaning they can create more novel viruses. This is a serious problem because it means that a coronavirus vaccine could spread new coronaviruses, sparking more outbreaks and possible pandemics.

“… coronaviruses are also known for their ability to recombine using both homologous and nonhomologous recombination,” the study explains. “The ability of these viruses to recombine is tied to the strand switching ability of the RdRp.”

“Only limited options are available to prevent coronavirus infections,” it further adds. “Vaccines have only been approved for IBV, TGEV, and Canine CoV, but these vaccines are not always used because they are either not very effective, or in some cases have been reported to be involved in the selection of novel pathogenic CoVs via recombination of circulating strains.”

In other words, trying to vaccinate against any type of coronavirus, including the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) is risky business, to say the least. It runs the risk of generating new coronaviruses that will then have to be addressed, presumably with more vaccines, and on and on it goes forever.

It’s worth noting that developing a vaccine for coronavirus was already tried with the SARS variety. According to this study, multiple vaccines for SARS were, in fact developed, but none of them were ever approved because of the serious risks involved.

“These vaccines include recombinant attenuated viruses, live virus vectors, or individual viral proteins expressed from DNA plasmids,” the study reads, noting that live attenuated vaccines “would be the most efficacious in targeting coronaviruses.”

The problem, once again, is that recombination threatens to make an already bad situation even worse by “rendering the vaccine useless and potentially increasing the evolution and diversity of the virus in the wild.” Such vaccines, because of the ingredients they contain, can also “enhance disease,” the study reveals.

Science is attempting to come up with new strategies to reduce the likelihood of recombination, but this has not yet been achieved. It is thus a foolish endeavor to attempt to create a vaccine using the old methods and try to force it on the public, which is what billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates, as one prominent example, is now attempting to do.

The public needs to know this information, but will anyone besides the independent media tell it to them?

Brain-Damaged UK Victims of Swine Flu Vaccine to Get £60 Million Compensation

Following the swine flu outbreak of 2009, about 60 million people, most of them children, received the vaccine.

It was subsequently revealed that the vaccine, Pandemrix, can cause narcolepsy and cataplexy in about one in 16,000 people, and many more are expected to come forward with the symptoms.

Across Europe, more than 800 children are so far known to have been made ill by the vaccine.

Narcolepsy affects a person's sleeping cycle, leaving them unable to sleep for more than 90 minutes at a time, and causing them to fall unconscious during the day. The condition damages mental function and memory, and can lead to hallucinations and mental illness.

Cataplexy causes a person to lose consciousness when they are experiencing heightened emotion, including when they are laughing.

The Pandemrix vaccine was manufactured by pharmaceuticals giant Glaxo Smith Kline, which refused to supply governments unless it was indemnified against any claim for damage caused. The company will pay the bill, and claim the money back from the government.

"There's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that Pandemrix increased the occurrence of narcolepsy onset in children in some countries - and probably in most countries," Emmanuelle Mignot, a specialist in sleep disorder at Stanford University in the United States told Reuters.

Facebook quietly drops ‘fake news’ flag on report revealing COVID-19 escaped from China lab

April 24, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Facebook has finally removed the “fake news” warning it had attached to a New York Post article published earlier this year that suggested that the coronavirus escaped from a Wuhan, China biolab.

According to Steve Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute and an expert on China, Facebook has yet to offer an apology for the unwarranted “fake news” label the social media giant had pinned to his February 22 op-ed, “Don’t buy China’s story: The coronavirus may have leaked from a lab. ”

“After we raised the alarm, Facebook uncensored that Steve Mosher oped about the origins of the Wuhan virus,” tweeted New York Post opinion editor, Sohrab Ahmari. “But the company didn’t apologize to the NYPost or offer explanation/accountability.”

“This is jaw-dropping stuff: Our article was censored based on the recommendation of a scientist who ... collaborates with the Wuhan virology lab,” said Ahmari in a continuing series of tweets.

“Another ‘expert’ who recommended our article be censored by Facebook did so based on her *belief* that ‘any responsible government’ would prevent leaks from virology labs,” he continued. “Oh, good, thanks.”

“There is a hermetically sealed bubble of elite academe, prestige liberal media and Silicon Valley nouveaux riches, impenetrably convinced of their absolute moral and intellectual rectitude,” Ahmari declared in another tweet.

“And they want to control — and do control — what you can read and think,” he concluded. “Dystopia.”
