Pa i ne baš. Ova područja oko Raqqe je uglavno naseljena Arapima, koji su se im dobrim dijelom pridružili u oslobađanju.
Ne maltretiraju i ne ubijaju domicilno stanovništvo, već ih zbrinjavaju, nahrane...Koliko vidim iz video  snimaka.
Arapi čak mole Kurde da im pomognu otjerati strance, koji su uzurpirali njihova naselja i gradove.
Barem je tako ovdje oko Raqqe.
Ima još jedna stvar koja mi je pala u oči: javno obećanje Arapima da će povući svoju vojsku s njihovog terena čim se riješe Isilovaca.

kurdi su odlučili iskoristiti trenutak i osnovati državu. postojale su ozbiljne optužbe o etničkom čišćenju kojeg provode da bi spojili svoje teritorije.

Nisam ništa slično zaslijedio u medijima.
Inače jedini su siguran američki parner. Ovi im iz zraka pomažu, ali ne vidim da ih baš opremaju ozbiljnijom tehnikom.
Za oslobađanje Raqqe sigurno nisu spremni, upravo zarad loše opremljenosti tehnikom.

Syrian troops, backed up by the country’s air force, have continued their advances against the Islamic State terrorist group, which is besieging the main military airport in Deir ez-Zor province.

On Friday, the Syrian Army, backed up by the country’s air force, continued its military operation against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in the province of Deir ez-Zor, aimed on lifting of the siege of the city’s military airport.
Positions of the IS terrorists, stationed near the Deir ez-Zor cemetery, were hit by artillery and missile units of the Syrian Army. As a result, the terrorist group suffered heavy losses.
At the same time, the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force pounded IS positions on the hilltop 17 near the Tharda mountain, located in the southern part of Deir ez-Zor. Five military positions and two vehicles of the terrorist group were destroyed, while several members of the IS were killed.
Positions of the IS in al-Ma’amel region were also targeted by artillery and missile units of the Syrian Army, which managed to destroy a storehouse of weapons of terrorists.
On Thursday, after several hours of fierce clashes, Syrian troops managed to repel an offensive of the IS, launched on army’s positions in al-Sina region near the Deir ez-Zor airbase. As a result, more than 30 terrorists were killed and twice more number of them were wounded, as well as two their military vehicles were destroyed. Terrorists were forced to retreat from the battlefield.
On Wednesday, gatherings of the IS terrorists, stationed in the southern countryside of Deir ez-Zor near the city’s military airport, were struck by Syrian troops. As a result, at least nine terrorists, including several non-Syrians, were killed, and their plans for an imminent offensive on the airbase were disrupted. The IS was forced to retreat from the battlefield in order to avoid more casualties.
On Tuesday, the Syrian Army and the country’s air force intensified attacks on concentration centers of the IS near and inside the eastern city of Deir ez-Zor. Terrorists suffered heavy losses, while their military hardware was seriously damaged.[/size]

Raqqah je u dometu kurdskog topništva -  prvo predgrađe na 3 km, a sami centar na cca 10 km. Kako i sučin od tu dalje je odluka na Amerima...

The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces and the National Defense Forces (NDF) are storming the town of Tadif in just few kilometers from the ISIS stronghold of al-Bab in the Syrian province of Aleppo.
Reports appear that Tiger Forces and NDF troops have entered Tadif and clashes between them and ISIS terrorists are now ongoing inside the town.
If Tadif is captured by government forces, the army and the NDF will be in less than 2 kilometers from the southern gates of al-Bab.
Meanwhile, rumors have appeared that government forces are going to enter al-Bab despite the fact that pro-Turkish forces are also storming it.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been given the green light by their high command to enter Al-Bab City in east Aleppo, Al-Masdar’s Syria correspondent Yusha Yuseef reported on late Friday.
According to Yuseef, the Syrian Arab Army will enter Al-Bab once the strategic town of Tadef is liberated from the remaining Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists.
The only stipulation that may prohibit them from entering this Islamic State stronghold in east Aleppo is whether or not the Turkish Armed Forces seize the city before them.
Similar to the Syrian Arab Army’s other large-scale offensives, this military operation will be led by their elite Tiger Forces and their Russian allies, who will be providing necessary air coverage over Al-Bab.

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces are just 5km from Syrian capital of the Islamic State terrorist group, the city of Raqqa.

A host of sites have been captured by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which, finally, managed to approach to the city of Raqqa – currently, there are just 5km between the SDF and the Syrian capital of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group.
During its rapid offensive, the SDF, consisting mainly of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and some Arab fighters, recaptured Mahran, Jisr Shanina, Tall Mahlas, Shanina and the Shanina Grain silos from the IS.
Meanwhile, during intense clashes near Raqqa, a suicide bomber of the IS blew himself up in front of Kurdish fighters. A video of the incident was published online. There are no reports about any casualties.

On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that this week, the Syrian Army liberated a road, connecting al-Bab and Raqqa, from IS terrorists. The supply route of terrorists was cut off, when Syrian troops approached the town of Tadef, located to the south of Raqqa. This advance should help ease a battle of the Syrian Army for Tadef, as well as help the Turkish-backed forces, which are currently attacking the western perimeter of al-Bab city.
The IS managed to take control of Raqqa on January 13, 2014, after the terrorist group recaptured the city from other jihadist formations, including Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the al-Nusra Front). After this, terrorists cleared the city from Christian and Alawite minorities.[/size]

Prema ruskom MO Asadovi su preuzeli predgrađe Tadif. Ispred su Turci zatvorili napredovanje Asadovih. Jedan izvor kaže da je tako bilo dogovoreno s Turcima.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – The Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) liberated the strategic town of Meyzla in east Al-Raqqa on Saturday, the ARA News Agency reported yesterday.
According to the report from ARA News, a specialized team of SDF sappers have begun to dismantle explosives and landmines inside the town. The SDF specialised teams also started to dismantle ISIS explosives and landmines in the town.
“Our forces are now in control of the Meyzla town, where ISIS was using civilians as human shields. The town is completely liberated now,” SDF officer Mahmoud Khalaf, told ARA News.
The SDF-led “Operation Euphrates Wrath” has managed to liberate a great deal of territory from the Islamic State militants, forcing the latter to consolidate their positions near the provincial capital of Al-Raqqa.


Kurdi su na 4 km od predgrađa Raqqe.
Kod analitičara ovo izaziva čuđenje, a ja bih rekao i da nije začuđujuće. Naime, Kurdi su zbog pomanjakanja moderne vojne tehnike
prisiljeni ovladati atipični način ratovanja, koji  koristi i ISIL. Ovi dana su Kurdi od Amera dobili nešto i teškog naoružanja i vozila,
da im je i to dalo krila...Spominje se i izvjesan broj američkih i francuskih specijalaca koji kao sudjeluju na terenu.
