Bleach, Nevermind, Insecticide (zapravo kompilacija rijetkih snimki i b-strana singlica) i posljednji In Utero kojeg su snimali s Albinijem.
Meni je strasno drag njihov nastup na MTV-u Unplugged, poprilicno znacajan za povijest Nirvane, jer volim te akusticne verzije njihovih pjesama kao i nadahnute obrade "Man Who Sold The World" (Bowie), Meat Puppetsa "Lake of Fire" i "Where did You Sleep Last Night?" Leadbellya.

DEAD CAN DANCE – THE HOST OF SERAPHIM
On stage, DEAD CAN DANCE were a beguiling and spectral mix of ancient European melodies, Gaelic folk rhythms, Middle Eastern mantras and exotic instruments.
Adept at mining the past for its poetic verse, DCD were able to craft these mystical passages into beautiful gothic futures. Both core members, Melburnians Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard brought out different elements in the overall shape of the sound. Lisa’s striking vocals, sirenesque becoming rhapsodic, with Perry providing the atmospheric context for this singular voice.
"Bearing much more resemblance to the similarly gripping, dark early work of bands like the Cocteau Twins and the Cure than to the later fusions of music that would come to characterize the duo's sound,” wrote AllMusic, “Dead Can Dance is as goth as it gets in many places".
In 1988, DCD released their fourth studio album ‘The Serpent's Egg is’ on 4AD records.
The album’s title was explained by Brendan Perry: “In a lot of aerial photographs of the Earth, if you look upon it as a giant organism—a macrocosmos—you can see that the nature of the life force, water, travels in a serpentine way".
From the album, the textured spirituality of THE HOST OF SERAPHIM, a track featured on a number of movie soundtracks including 2007 American science fiction horror film THE MIST.

THE STRANGLERS – STRANGE LITTLE GIRL (1982)
“It's a song that Hans Wärmling and myself wrote one day when he came over to live in Guildford, before Dave joined the band. Hans was very talented and created the musical passages on piano and I added the guitar solo, which Dave followed on keyboards on the record.”
Hugh agreed that if the band had released Strange Little Girl instead of April’s single La Folie, it would probably have gone to number one. “I think so….but they were very happy and we managed to walk away from EMI into the arms of CBS.”
The lyrics were inspired by a girl and a book. “She owned some horses and every day she'd hitch to feed them in Bramley,” said Hugh, “which was quite a distance away. She'd feed the horses and hitch back again, so I wrote about her being a strange little girl leaving town to go to the country."
"The song was also a nod at an 18th-century French writer called Alain Le Sage. He wrote a book called Gil Blas, which was a groundbreaking work, the first French novel about social realism.”

NEW ORDER – LEAVE ME ALONE
The final track from New Order’s second studio album ‘Power, Corruption & Lies,’ LEAVE ME ALONE was “a poignant moment for Bernard Sumner in particular, waning guitar and lyrics on isolation creating a shared sense of weariness,” wrote Vice.com.
“I must admit, my favorite song to play is still my fave tune, which is “Leave Me Alone,” said Peter Hook in 2013.
“There’s something about that song in particular that really I find to be life affirming and joyous and to go through Movement and Power, Corruption, And Lies and finish as we do with “Leave Me Alone” is a fantastic moment for me. But we never played it in 25, 27 years.”
The video here features footage from the 1967 Lindsay Anderson directed short film ‘The White Bus,’ the film debut of Anthony Hopkins.
