Prolaze i dolaze stotine investitora, hilhjade turista.

Hogard: British SAS attacked Serbian churches, monasteries, refugees
Dec 19, 2014
Jacques Hogard was one of the first Western officers who entered the territory of Serbia after the signing of the Kumanovo Agreement in 1999, and there he saw that the information he was given by NATO command does not correspond to the truth.
He realized that this is not a humanitarian war, in the field he saw that KLA soldiers were at all times under control of German and British military services, including attacks on Serbian churches, monasteries and refugee columns just after the end of the NATO bombing.
This is why his unit on several occasions entered into armed conflict with both KLA and British soldiers who were with their units. A decade and a half later, Colonel Hogard, who recently published a book “Europe died in Pristina”, spoke about details of the war in Kosovo for “Nedeljnik”.
“British were in close contact with KLA. Soldiers of the 20th Regiment SAS were actually engaged with KLA, they gave them the logistics, they trained them. This is what I discovered in concrete situations in the field,” said Jacques Hogard.
“When members of KLA ambushed a convoy of Serbian refugees, who were retreating in tractors – and the attack was carried out with the support of the British – I called a Serbian Brigade in retreat, led by Colonel Serkovic, to return and stop Albanian aggressors, which they did. When Serbian civilians ran from Pec, they were attacked by Albanian soldiers. I engaged a helicopter which dispelled them with gunfire from air. Several minutes after the action was over, I got a call from British General Mason, who asked me is it possible that a fire was opened against his people. I replied:’I can not understand that your specialists are together with bandits who shoot at civilians’. Mason was quiet,” said Hogard.
He will remain remembered as the officer who draw a line of demarcation on Ibar in Mitrovac, which would later become the border of northern Kosovo.
Hogard also said that as a child of an officer he grew up with heroic stories from Salonika front, where his great-uncle laid down his life and that he was always taught that Serbia is a great friend of the French people. Therefore, he said, before leaving for NATO mission in 1998, he had a dilemma whether to avoid a mission in which he would possibly find himself on the other side, against Serbian army.
“I went to talk to my father about the mission in Kosovo, because my grandfather was already dead. My father was also a retired general, and at the time he was dying of cancer. He told me:’If you go there, do not be too rough with the Serbs’. He also told me:’We should not question the future, by forgetting our past’,” said Hogard.
What marked his military career, as Hogard said, is the case of defense of the monastery Devic, which is why he later received Order of St. Sava from Serbian Orthodox Church.
“I was at the head of the group of Special French forces. This was not a big unit, there were only 150 of us, and we worked in teams of 6 people. When we came, we were welcomed by Serbian authorities, Albanians were nowhere to be seen, they hid. We saw a small car approaching, Yugo, from which emerged a nun. Her name was mother Makarija, abbess of the monastery of Sokolica. She was returning from Pristina, where tried to speak with the members of British headquarters. She was worried about the situation at the monastery Devic. She was trying to reach the monastery by phone for several days. And since Devic is in Drenica, and you know that it is extremely unsafe there, she was afraid to go alone. She asked British for help, by they did not react,” said Hogard.
“The monastery was demolished, the relics of St. Joanikije were also broken, they were engraved with KLA and things like that. There were horrific reports about how the bandits treated the sisterhood of the monastery. We provided the sisterhood of the monastery with all the necessary help. My head of department who was at the scene told me that they will certainly return. I ordered that we wait for them, capture them and disarm, and we would later see what to do with them. Of course, in case they resisted, my soldiers were given permission to act. And so happened. They returned, they were wearing German uniforms, probably given to them by BND. My soldiers ordered them to stop and lay down their weapons, but Albanians started shooting. And than they realized there is a serious army in front of them, and that my soldiers have the permission to return fire. The gang quickly retreated under our fire, carrying the wounded and the dead,” said Hogard.

Belgrade poised for second China route
The Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, Li Manchang, has confirmed that talks are underway for the introduction of a second service from China to Belgrade, after Hainan Airlines established flights between Beijing and the Serbian capital via Prague last September. "We see cooperation between China and Serbia at a historic high and a bilateral relationship going from strength to strength. Our friendship is ironclad. Therefore, I would like to use this opportunity to reveal a secret. We are currently discussing the introduction of a second service between Belgrade and another Chinese city", Mr Li said at a forum dedicated to Serbia - China relations. The ambassador played an instrumental role in talks between Hainan Airlines and the Serbian government over flights to and from Beijing which lasted throughout the winter and spring of last year.
Although the ambassador did not identify the Chinese city from which the new service could be established, the City of Belgrade said last November that talks over the introduction of flights from Shanghai would begin in the near future. Initial discussions over the route are believed to have taken place with Hainan Airlines, Air China and China Southern Airlines. Apart from Hainan Airlines, whose parent company, the HNA Group, has signed a Letter of Intent for cooperation with the Serbian government earlier this year, Air China has also publicly expressed interest in serving the Serbian capital. According to Sabre Airline Solutions, most of the traffic flow between China and Serbia over the past few years has originated from Shanghai, not Beijing. This is partially believed to be because the largest portion of Chinese nationals residing in Serbia have their origins in two provinces south of the Shanghai region.
Mr Li noted that the number of Chinese visitors to Serbia has significantly grown since the two countries abolished visa requirements for each others' nationals in January of last year. A total of 51.691 Chinese tourists visited Serbia in 2017, up 180.8% on the year before, while the number of overnight stays stood at 94.845, an increase of 120.6%. Hainan Airlines has told EX-YU Aviation News it will maintain services from Beijing to Belgrade this summer at two per week via Prague with its Airbus A330-300 aircraft. A number of Chinese companies are currently investing in Serbia which is expected to increase the demand for business travel between the two nations as well. Recently, Chinese company Mei Ta announced the construction of a second car parts factory in the country, while work on a Serbian-Chinese Industrial Park is also set to commence this year, with some forty large Chinese companies signing up to be based at the premises.

Iran Air touches down in Belgrade
Iran's national carrier launched operations between Tehran and Belgrade today, linking the two capital cities with a scheduled service for the first time in 27 years. Iran Air will be one of three carriers to maintain flights between the two countries. Following several delays, as a result of bureaucratic issues, Iran Air commenced its two weekly service to Belgrade this morning with an Airbus A320 aircraft and 96 passengers on board. Online ticket sales began just last week. Despite this, the Iranian Ambassador to Serbia, Hossein Mola Abdollahi, has said that all subsequent flights have been sold out until late summer. On March 19, Qeshm Air will introduce a two weekly service on the same route. "Tickets for the first four return flights on this airline have also been sold out", Mr Abdollahi said.
Mahan Air will be the third Iranian carrier to operate services between Tehran and Belgrade this summer. It will launch two weekly operations on April 6, with all flights to be maintained with its 202-seat Airbus A310 aircraft. Furthermore, it will also run several charters prior to the service launch, with the first two scheduled for March 20 and March 24. JAT Yugoslav Airlines previously ran services between Belgrade and Tehran, launching flights on April 19, 1991. The airline also opened its representative office in the Iranian city. The route was popular with a considerable number of transfer passengers to the United States at the time. However, it was short-lived with the collapse of Yugoslavia halting all international operations.
Serbia and Iran inked a bilateral Air Service Agreement last July and Serbia abolished visa requirements for Iranian passport holders in September, thus becoming the only European country to do so. Iran has also waived visas for Serbian nationals. Iran Air maintains services to a number of European cities, including Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Istanbul, Milan, Moscow and Vienna. It will soon launch flights to Budapest as well. The carrier began a fleet renewal program in 2016 after international sanctions imposed onto the country were lifted. It is in the process of taking delivery of new A320, A321 and ATR 72 aircraft. Prior to the lifting of sanctions, Iran Air used Belgrade as a refuelling stop on its flights from Western Europe to Tehran, but never held commercial rights to sell tickets to and from the Serbian capital.
