Fukushima Lawsuits Against Tokyo, TEPCO Total Over $1Bln
In order to contain the harmful contamination, a large number storage tanks for liquid radioactive waste were quickly built, trenches were dug to collect groundwater and to prevent radioactive water from flowing into the sea. However, the Japanese technology was not enough to dispose of the radioactive water.
For this reason, in 2014, the Japanese government announced an international competition and allocated more than $9.5 million for the most efficient design for eliminating liquid radioactive waste.
Out of 29 international companies ‘RosRAO’, US Company Kurion Inc and US-Japanese GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. were selected. It is expected that pilot projects will be presented by the end of March.
The world has never faced a problem of such magnitude related to the disposal of liquid radioactive materials, expert of Khlopina Radium Institute, Sergey Florea, said.
“After the institute won the international tender for water purification from tritium, during 2015 we worked on the creation of a demonstration plant. It is designed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the process on an industrial scale, which can help fix the problem within 5-6 years.”

Fukushima Nuclear Disaster Illustrates Need to Continue Improving NPP Safety Measures Worldwide
“At the Fukushima-1 site more than 700 thousand cubic meters of radioactive waste containing tritium has accumulated. Russian Radium Institute has dealt with waste recycling of tritium before. Therefore, when the accident occurred at Fukushima-1, we realized that Russian technology will be in demand. When experts from Japan came to our institute, they above all, tried to articulate their needs.”
Florea spoke about the production which is at least 4,000 cubic meters of waste per day. Until now such systems with tritium waste processing capacity did not exist. Essentially, there were units with waste processing capabilities of no more than 100-200 cubic meters.
Currently, ‘RosRAO’ is testing their equipment to purify water which has been contaminated with radiation. If the tests show the necessary characteristics, the pilot project will be the basis for the creation of a large industrial plant.
In addition to the specifications, Russia is offering technology that will provide the lowest operating cost.

In order to receive Turkey’s help with refugees, Brussels ignores the fact that Turkey supports the Daesh (ISIL/Islamic State) terrorist group. What is more, the EU is ready to accelerate Ankara’s accession to the bloc amid claims that Turkey is buying oil from the terrorists.
"I think this is a sign of EU’s moral bankruptcy. The bloc has lost its values. This is why the accession talks cannot be taken seriously. Having shifted responsibility for refugees to such a criminal like Erdogan, the EU has lost its face. First of all, Erdogan is to blame for the refugee crisis," she said.
According to the politician, siding with Erdogan, the EU has betrayed everything that symbolizes European values. However, the terrorist threat in Europe is not linked to the growing number of refugees, Dagdelen underscored.
Just As Expected: Turkey 'Blackmailing Europe Over Migrant Crisis'
"The main reason behind the growingterrorist threat is bombings in Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan over the last 15 years. They were aimed at fighting terrorism, but have finally intensified terrorism. As a result, now there is a terrorist threat in Europe," she explained.
This is not about refugees, the lawmaker added. According to her, terrorists are unlikely to reach Europe by boats across the Mediterranean Sea, because they can fly there in business class.
Dagdelen stressed that countries supporting Islamists are responsible for the refugee crisis.
"I’ve visited refugee camps in Lebanon. People told me they fled from brutal extremists in Syria and Iraq. There is no reason to think that those people fled from the Syrian government," she said.
Currently, Turkey is responsible for the expulsion of over 2,000 Kurds from its territory. Recently, a boat carrying Kurdish refugees capsized in the Aegean Sea. This proves that Erdogan is waging war on Kurds, the lawmaker said.
"Finally, hundreds of thousands of Kurds will have to leave their country. In order to resolve the refugee crisis we should deal with the roots of the problem," Dagdelen concluded.

Turkey's Erdogan Is 'Complicit' in Europe's Migrant Crisis
Concerns are multiplying among European officials about Turkey’s demands over the migrant crisis.
Ankara seeks to reach a visa-free regime with the Schengen zone in exchange for assistance in stymieing the influx of asylum seekers to Europe. Nevertheless, European diplomats think this will never happen.
An unnamed high-ranking European official told the Financial Times that "this will end badly and it will have repercussions far beyond the migration deal."
But European politicians are already recoiling, the article read. French President Francois Hollande is watching out for the country’s right flank, and former president Nicolas Sarkozy said he totally opposed the removal of visas for Turks.

EU Visa Relief for Turkey May Lead to New Wave of Migration - German Transport Minister
Growing concerns are also evident in the European Parliament which would approve any visa decision.
Manfred Weber, leader of the center-right European People’s Party bloc, the biggest in the parliament, told FT that there are "large obstacles" to visa liberalization, including issues of Turkey’s status as a "safe country," its data-protection standards, and judicial cooperation.
Brussels insists that Turkey must meet 72 criteria, ranging from technical to sensitive political issues like rewriting terror laws and recognizing the Cypriot government in Nicosia.
"The idea that Turkey will get a freebie on visa liberalization is a joke. This is not as easy as they think," the source told FT.
But if Turkey meets the criteria Brussels would be trapped, Marc Pierini, a former EU ambassador to Turkey, said.
"I don’t see France ever accepting the deal this year when elections are close," he said. "I don’t believe for a minute EU countries want progress on all fronts."

Despite claims that Turkey is involved in buying illegal oil from Daesh the EU is still conducting admission talks with Ankara. Thus the bloc betrays its own values, a German lawmaker said.
The fact that the European Union is holding admission talks with Turkey in exchange for assistance in dealing with the migrant crisis is a signal of moral degradation of the bloc, German lawmaker Sevim Dagdelen told in an interview with RT.In order to receive Turkey’s help with refugees, Brussels ignores the fact that Turkey supports the Daesh (ISIL/Islamic State) terrorist group. The resolution is a mere political provocation which aims to manipulate Riyadh into further business concessions, the expert believes, calling attention to the fact that Brussels has as yet failed to condemn Saudi Arabia's funding of Islamists in Syria and Iraq.
"While the language of the resolution and the 'concerns' voiced regarding Saudi Arabia's in-humanitarian policies in Yemen seem good, the fact of the matter is that neither the EU is really touched by the loss of life and property in Yemen nor does it feel compelled to extend relief to the 14.4 million people, who are reportedly reaching the point of starvation in Yemen, by merely imposing embargoes on Saudi Arabia," Sheikh suggests in his article for New Eastern Outlook.
Riyadh's Worst Nightmare: Is Saudi Arabia's Oil Business Going Bust?
The European Parliament resolution of February 25, 2016 on the humanitarian crisis in Yemen refers to "grave concerns" over the deterioration of the situation on the ground.
It "calls on the VP/HR to launch an initiative aimed at imposing an EU arms embargo against Saudi Arabia, given the serious allegations of breaches of international humanitarian law by Saudi Arabia in Yemen and the fact that the continued licensing of weapons sales to Saudi Arabia would therefore be in breach of Council Common Position 2008/944/CFSP of 8 December 2008."
Furthermore, the European Parliament "believes that Saudi Arabia and Iran are instrumental in resolving the crisis, and urges both sides to work pragmatically and in good faith to end the fighting in Yemen."
According to Sheikh, Brussels is deliberately fanning the flames of the Saudi-Iranian rivalry. The crux of the matter is that the two countries are Europe's longstanding oil providers.

'We Feel Your Pain': Who Benefits From EU Sanctions Against Russia?
As sanctions on Iran are lifted, Tehran has rushed to regain its niche in the European market by cutting its crude price significantly. It goes without saying that by doing so Iran hurts Saudi Arabia's interests.
In their turn, European decision-makers are rubbing their hands and planning to benefit from the cheap Middle Eastern crude.
"Europe, as such, stands to benefit from the Iran-Saudi tussle to dominate the European market," the expert remarks.
"Although the 'anti-Saudi' resolution of EU parliament cannot be categorically explained as actual distance emerging between Saudi and Europe, it certainly reflects the European tactic to trick both countries into lowering down the oil prices to the minimum — a situation that directly adds to the Europe's fragile economic position, help it manage its industrial production costs and balance of payments," Sheikh underscores.
Meanwhile, the Middle Eastern rivalry over oil production may also influence Russia and OPEC's plans to freeze crude output. According to Reuters, the upcoming March 20 meeting between oil producers is hanging in the balance since Tehran is yet to say whether it will participate in the deal.
"Tehran has rejected freezing its output at January levels, put by OPEC secondary sources at 2.93 million barrels per day (bpd), and wants to return to much higher pre-sanctions production," the media outlet reported citing a source familiar with Iranian thinking.

The European Union is exploiting the Saudi-Iranian rivalry to its own advantage, political analyst Salman Rafi Sheikh notes, stressing that the supposedly 'historic' EU resolution which calls to impose arms embargo on Riyadh has added fuel to the fire.
The EU's February resolution calling for the imposing of arms embargo against Saudi Arabia has really nothing to do with the Yemeni humanitarian crisis, according to Salman Rafi Sheikh, research-analyst of International Relations and Pakistan's foreign and domestic affairs. The resolution is a mere political provocation which aims to manipulate Riyadh into further business concessions, the expert believes, calling attention to the fact that Brussels has as yet failed to condemn Saudi Arabia's funding of Islamists in Syria and Iraq.

Ruska vojska dobila više od četiri hiljade tipova naoružanja
Savremena vojna tehnika, pre svega avijaciona, prošla je proveru tokom svog korišćenja u borbi protiv terorista u Siriji, rekao je predsednik Rusije Vladimir Putin.
Puskovыe ustanovki zenitnoй raketnoй sistem S-400 Triumf i samohodnый zenitnый raketno-pušečnый kompleks Pancirь-S1 na marše v Moskovskoй oblasti

Berlin 1945.
Ulazi Gering kod Hitlera i zatiče ga oznojenog i u mračnom raspoloženju.
Gering: O moj Fireru, zašto ste neraspoloženi? Rusi nisu stigli do Berlina.
U Mercedesovim fabrikama rade Turci, Nemačka otplaćuje dugove Grka i Španaca.

Rusi nisu stigli do Berlina.
U Mercedesovim fabrikama rade Turci, Nemačka otplaćuje dugove Grka i Španaca.

World famous airplane maker Antonov is no more. Ukraine's government has liquidated the state company, assigning its remaining divisions to a state-owned strategic conglomerate Ukroboronprom, according to the Ministry of Economic Development.
"The Government has adopted a resolution on the liquidation of the State Aircraft Manufacturing Concern Antonov. The manufacturer's three divisions were transferred to Ukroboronprom," the Ministry statement said.
Antonov’s assets were assigned to Ukroboronprom in the spring of 2015, and in July Kiev replaced the group’s management.
Last year, Kiev forced Antonov to sever its contract with Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The decision was likely linked with Kiev’s move to include Antonov as part of Ukroboronprom, Ukrainian media reported.
In October 2010, Antonov and UAC signed a deal to form a joint company. The firms agreed to cooperate in marketing, sales, design and production of military, civilian and cargo aircraft as well as modifying new Antonov airplanes.

Antonov manufactured passenger, cargo and special purpose aircraft. Established in Novosibirsk in 1946 as a top-secret Soviet aviation design and research bureau, Antonov was relocated to Kiev in 1952. Among the company's best-known aircraft are the giant An-124 Ruslan and An-225 Mriya cargo planes. The An-225 is the world's largest airplane, built to carry the Soviet Buran shuttle orbiter.
