Engines SaM146 produces a joint venture UEC and French Safran - the company Powerjet. They were created specifically for the SSJ100 and are no longer available for any aircraft. But the engines often break down, which is why Russian airliners fly a little. In 2018, the SSJ100 for Russian airlines flew an average of 3.6 hours per day, while the Airbus 320 and Boeing 737-800 flew 10 and 11 hours respectively. SaM146 problems arise in the so-called hot part of the engine, where fuel is burned, supplied by Safran. Cracks can appear in the combustion chambers or oil collectors after 2000–4000 flight hours, and sometimes even after 1000 flight hours. The engine must be sent to overhaul. Although the manufacturer promises that before the overhaul the engine should work 7500-8000 hours.
