AL-RAQQA- Wrath of Euphrates operation room decided to cease its operations in the surrounding of Euphrates Dam for 4 hours for saving the dam.
The command of Wrath of Euphrates operation room released a statement to the public opinion where it proclaimed ceasing their operations in the surrounding of Euphrates Dam for preserving the dam.
The statement contains the following:
“For saving Euphrates Dam and taking the necessary procedures for that, and at the request of dam manager, we decided to cease the operations in Euphrates Dam for 4 hours since 01:00 pm till 05:00 pm by the date of March 27, 2017 for the engineers’ team could enter the dam and undertake their works.

Islamic State commander from Germany killed in Tabqah by SDF

Abu Umar al-Almani from Germany joined the jihadist Islamic State group in 2014 after being radicalised during 2013.
An Islamic State (IS) commander from Germany has been killed by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near Tabqah dam.
Abu Umar al-Almani, real name Yamin A. Zand was killed in clashes 7km away from the strategic dam alongside three other IS militants, according to Syrian Kurdish Hawar News Agency.
The German citizen from Bonn joined the jihadist organisation in 2014, travelling through Turkey into Syria.
Al-Almani was in the group’s first German language propaganda video alongside Austrian Mohamed Mahmoud and called on sympathisers living in Germany to join the IS. He was also seen killing a prisoner in Palmyra in the video.

nije moj, sirijski je, al da jest aktivan jest, pa kad je krenula ofenziva prema al babu on je non stop letao okolo sa helikopterom i kordinirao, lik je opicen do daske

RAQQA – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander Rojda Felat stated said they took a major step to liberate Raqqa city with the operation of Tabqa city and Tabqa Dam.
The Operation Wrath of Euphrates and SDF commander Rojda Felat said that they had started the operation on Tabqa in two fronts, descended down to the south of the Euphrates River with helicopters, and that Tabqa Military Airport was liberated from ISIS occupation within the framework of their operations.
Tabqa Dam
The SDF commander stated that they carry out operations cautiously and stated that they are sensitive to the strategically important dam but that there is no hesitation in their progress. Rojda Felat stated that they had dominated the Tabqa dam, which is 4 km long, and said that they were cautious not to bring any damage to the dam.
Responding to the allegations that damage had occurred at the Tabqa Dam, Felat said that the claims were unfounded and made in order to block the operation of Raqqa, which gained international attention, and added: “We have approached the dam precisely up to now. Our forces are very sensitive about the dam. The gangs have mined the dam. Therefore, even if any damage occurs on the dam, this will be due to the Daesh (ISIS) gangs.”
Noting that the dam is an important position for the whole of Syria, Felat affirmed that Raqqa will be encircled from four fronts with the liberation of the dam, and that the last dam under the control of ISIS will be liberated.
New experience
SDF Commander Rojda Felat said that they had experienced new military experiences in these operations, and that one of them was the airdrop on the region in western Tabqa.
5,000 civilians rescued
Felat said they delivered the civilians rescued from the persecution of ISIS to secured areas and provided their needs, and that 5,000 civilians were rescued within the last operations.

The Russian Air Force in Syria has eliminated 60 Islamic State militants in eastern Deir ez-Zor province, the Defense Ministry reported. Several days ago mass execution of civilians were reported there.

“The Russian Su-34 bombers have struck terrorist strongholds near the village of Bagilya in the Deir ez-Zor province where Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) have recently executed 300 civilian from the local population for the sake of intimidation,” Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.
Over the weekend, Islamic State jihadists have reportedly slaughtered up to 300 people in the Deir ez-Zor province, killing “whole families” for alleged cooperation with the Syrian Army.

The airstrikes also destroyed three trucks with ammunition, two SUVs with mounted Zu-23 anti-aircraft cannons, he said.

Konashenkov said the Russian Air Force is continuing its operation “to deliver food and essential items to areas blocked by terrorists” in Syria.

On Monday, over 40 tons of humanitarian aid from Russian Defense Ministry and Syrian government was parachuted to the encircled city of Deir ez-Zor and other areas, he said.

“According to the reports received by the Syrian leadership from the settlements where the humanitarian aid was delivered, all the cargo has been received and is now being passed to the residents,” he stressed.

Over the last four days, Russian warplanes have carried out 157 sorties and struck 579 terrorist targets in the Syrian provinces of Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor, Homs, Hama, Latakia and Raqqa, Konashenkov said.

Around 20 jihadists and three SUVs with heavy machineguns were destroyed in an airstrike by Su-24 bombers on IS strongholds in Latakia, he added.[/size]
