Israeli court convicts mastermind behind kidnap-murder of 3 teens

Hussam Qawasmeh, a Palestinian from Hebron, admitted to planning and funding the attack, burying the boys’ bodies and hiding the perpetrators.

Hussam Qawasmeh, the Palestinian who confessed to planning the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank in June, was convicted in an Israeli military court on Wednesday of three counts of accessory to premeditated manslaughter. Qawasmeh, who was behind the deaths of Israeli teenagers Gil-Ad Shaer, Naftali Fraenkel and Eyal Yifrah, was also convicted of membership in a group that committed intentional manslaughter, two counts of bringing enemy funds into the country, one count of carrying out activities for Hamas, one count of arms dealing, two counts of obstruction of justice, and one count of sheltering wanted individuals.
Qawasmeh admitted to planning the attack, along with Marwan Qawasmeh and Amer Abu Aisheh, and funding it with roughly 200,000 shekels he received from his brother in Gaza, who was deported to the Strip as part of the deal that released kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. Since then, the brother in Gaza began working for Hamas.

Iran has confirmed that a senior Iranian general was killed Sunday in an alleged Israeli strike on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, local media reported.
According to the report, Iran's Revolutionary Guard said General Mohammad Allahdadi was serving in Iran as an adviser to the Syrian Army. A Hezbollah official told AFP that five other Iranian military men were also killed in the strike.
Foreign media reports claimed Sunday that Israel had struck a site on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, killing at least six members of Hezbollah, including Jihad Mughniyeh, the son of slain Hezbollah military leader Imad Mughniyeh, who was assassinated in Damascus in 2008. It is widely assumed that Israel planted the car bomb that killed him.

Iranian general killed in Syria strike died because 'he kept his phone on'

Mohammed Ali Allahdadi, serving as an adviser to the Syrian army, reportedly failed to turn his cellular device off in an area monitored intensively by Israeli intel.

An Iranian general killed by a strike on the Syrian Golan Heights last Sunday that was attributed to Israel died because he failed to turn his cell phone off, Maariv reported.
Mohammed Ali Allahdadi, a senior Iranian general serving as an adviser to the Syrian army, died along with five other Iranians and six Hezbollah officers in the January 18 strike on Quneitra.
According to the Lebanese newspaper Al Joumhouria, an investigation conducted by the Shi'ite group Hezbollah concluded that Allahdadi had kept his phone on, despite him being in an area monitored intensively by Israeli intelligence, meaning that it was possible to determing his whereabouts.

Ukrainian nationalists declared a holiday called "Petlyura Day." It was celebrated by massacring over five thousand Jewish innocents. In 2009, the Germans traced down Ukrainian nationalist Ivan Demjanjuk. There was a want on him for war crimes and a debt to be paid. He was a commander in the Galician Unit and a guard at the Sobidor death camp. Demjanjuk was accused of personally suffocating Jewish prisoners to death, by pumping carbon monoxide into their showers, as well as murdering German civilians, and leading Ukrainian death squads. They found him in the United States, living under the name John Demjanjuk, in the heart of Cleveland's Ukrainian community, where he reportedly continued to remain active in nationalist circles. He was convicted of crimes against humanity.

In 1648, Cossack Bogdan Chmelnitsky led the Cossacks and Ukrainian nationalists in an uprising against Poland. Along the way, they slaughtered tens of thousands of Jewish civilians. In 1918-1919, over twelve hundred pogroms took place in Ukraine. Over a third of those rampages were attributed to the Ukrainian nationalist army. In 1919, soldiers of the Ukrainian independent government, based in Kiev, massacred tens of thousands of Jewish innocents in the Ukraine. The pogromchiks rode into town on horseback, like the forces of Attila the Hun, on a destruction spree. The Jews formed self-defense units in order to fight back.

The Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists pledged their allegiance to Adolph Hitler.

Nazis organized the so-called Galician Unit of the SS--the Nazi secret police force. Galicia was once a land bordering southwestern Ukraine. In Yiddish, the term Galician refers to Jews living in, or with roots in, the southern region of the Pale: Ukraine and Crimea, as well as Hungary and Romania. Many of these innocents were being protected by what the Jews call "righteous gentiles," non-Jews who risked their own lives to shelter Jews from Nazis. They would have survived the war, were it not for Ukrainian Nazis.

The einsatzkommandos were tasked with, and responsible for, the first wave of ethnic cleansing, according to Hitler and Eichmann's "Final Solution" racialist genocide program targeting Jews. Of course, these were innocents and entire families who were murdered--often times in front of each other. Many were tortured, including Jewish children. Most were simply mowed down with machine guns during the first days of Nazi occupation. It was one of the largest mass murders in history. This was the main Nazi campaign that the Ukrainians participated in.

In the time of the Czars, Ukraine was home to the second largest Jewish population center in Europe, after the Warsaw Ghetto in Poland, and followed by Belarus. The Holocaust changed all that. The Warsaw Ghetto was liquidated after an underdog Jewish last stand, bringing us to the Ukrainian nationalist movement.

During the war, the Ukrainian nationalists were Nazi collaborators. They collaborated in the Holocaust. In fact, the Ukrainians were the most enthusiastic Nazi collaborators in the Einsatzgruppe--the Nazi occupied western front, called the Pale Settlement.

Philadelphia's transit system says it won't appeal a federal judge's order that it must accept provocative ads that include a 1941 photograph of Adolf Hitler with a former Arab leader.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority said Thursday a pro-Israel group requested advertising space before an agency policy change allowing it to reject offensive ads.
The American Freedom Defense Initiative's proposed ads carry the tagline: "Jew Hatred: It's in the Quran."
The ads will appear on the side of 84 buses. One features a 1941 photograph of Adolf Hitler and supporter Hajj Amin al-Husseini, a Palestinian Arab nationalist.
