Veliki britanski glumac Ian Holm preminuo u 88. godini. Njegove uloge u trilogiji LOTR, u filmovima Alien, Chariots of Fire , Peti Element i mnogim drugim  su nezaboravne. 

Bio je kažu maestralan u kazališnim izvedbama Shakespeara
