OD preuzimanja uloge čelnika NBA lige 2014. godine Adam Silver uvijek je bio otvoren za promjene i revolucionarne ideje pa je nedavno govorio o mogućnosti da se sezona skrati i da se implementiraju nova natjecanja po uzoru na nogometne kupove.
Ovaj put osvrnuo se na ulogu žena u NBA ligi, kojih mora biti više.
"Cilj nam je da u budućnosti 50 posto novih sudaca u NBA ligi budu žene. Isto vrijedi i za trenere. Nema razloga da žene ne bi mogle trenirati muškarce", rekao je Silver u razgovoru za The Economic Club.
Trenutačno u NBA ligi rade samo tri sutkinje, od kojih su dvije priključene na početku ove sezone. U trenerskim stožerima 30 momčadi ukupno je šest žena, među kojima najznačajniju ulogu ima Becky Hammon u San Antonio Spursima, a čak je prošle godine bila kandidatkinja za mjesto glavne trenerice Milwaukee Bucksa, no posao je ipak dobio Mike Budenholzer.

i u momčadima bi trebalo biti minimalno 50%

svi ki volu košarku će popizditi;
ko da ni dovoljno teško načiniti dobroga sudca, pa se tribo još dodatno otežavati...ko da zahtjevaju da je polak sudaca ljevoruko, bogati

Zanimljivo da feminacistice nikad nisu tražile da bude 50% žena u trećoj smjeni rudnika kreka

to ko ja kad sam bio zatucan,
ali onda sam se u napadu progresivnosti zapitao ko vrli pitac:
otkad je to bitanija kvaliteta treninga nego spol trenera, kad svi znamo da je taj posebni tanani pristup svojstven samo zenama bolji
I shvatio sam u kojoj sam bio zabludi jer sam izbacio inkluzivnost iz jednadzbe

It’s always noticed when women constitute a higher-than-usual proportion of an engineering college’s leadership, but somehow we don’t make the same assumptions about talent when all of a school’s top positions are filled by men.
In our case, the numerical skew toward hiring women comes from expecting more — not less — of our top administrators. Being an accomplished engineer is still a requirement, but it is no longer sufficient. Our leaders also need to be able to see and articulate biases in the organization and propose ways to counter them. It turned out that the women who were hired as leaders in our latest round performed better on those measures.
That simple recruiting change has transformed our leadership. Women now occupy 13 of the 25 top faculty-leadership roles — department chairs, associate deans, and executive-committee members.
Here I share four key approaches we followed to build that pool — with the hope that other leaders of male-dominated fields in science, engineering, and medicine may adopt the same tactics
1. Find out where your playing field isn’t level.
2. Train your hiring committees to challenge unconscious biases.
3. To cultivate leaders, ensure equal access to mentors.
4. Redefine "merit" to include "taking inequality seriously."

Treba ukinuti muške i ženske sportove i dopustiti ženama da se ravnopravno natječu s muškima :)
