A TV comedian with no political experience and no plan for the future is running to be President of Ukraine. His name is Volodymyr Zelenskiy. He is a compromised figure, heavily-promoted by the oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskiy and the TV channel 1+1, and financially-backed by the Russian Federation – the neighbour country that is presently at war with Ukraine.
The essential nature of Russian imperialism since the collapse of the Soviet Union is nihilism, which is the doctrine that nothing is of any value. Muscovy has no positive program. What it has is a policy to cause chaos in the world – to tear its neighbours down. Putin is a sabotage and disruption agent, trained as such by the KGB. It’s the only thing he knows how to be. He is not a politician and not a leader in the traditional sense. He is incapable of acting wisely to guide the Russian people in the rational pursuit of a better life.
Russia is at war with Ukraine. The war aims of the Putin regime are to destroy the legacy of the Revolution of Dignity (EuroMaidan), to end the independence of Ukraine, to remove the sovereignty and territorial integrity of as much of Ukraine as possible, and above all to halt the natural movement of Ukraine towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
Russia is mounting an all-out “anyone but Poroshenko” campaign. Ukrainian oligarchs – who control the TV stations and newspapers in Ukraine – are on board with the Kremlin’s efforts to remove Poroshenko: the best (or least bad) president Ukraine has had since the restoration of independence in 1991.
President of Ukraine since April 2014, Petro Poroshenko has implemented some of the goals of the Revolution of Dignity and he has halted the Russian invasion. Ukrainians enjoy a Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, a Ukraine-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, visa-free travel to the EU and over countries amounting to 100 destinations. The Orthodox Church of Ukraine has been restored to independence with a self-chosen head. Thanks to the Anti-Terrorist Operation and now the Joint Forces Operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation invading Ukraine have made no territorial gains since early 2015. In fact the Russian invaders have lost some ground in the Luhansk in Donetsk regions of eastern Ukraine. The Russians bombard Ukrainian defenders and civilians every day and every night, and violate all the terms of the Minsk Agreement of 11 February 2015.
The Zelenskiy campaign is financed by Russia. Hacked emails show that the conduits for Kremlin cash to Zelenskiy are Vladislav Surkov and Konstantin Malofeev. These members of the Putin-Kremlin crime syndicate are the “grey cardinals” (handlers) controlling the Russian terrorist organizations that are the nominal occupation authority in Russian-invaded Donbas: the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic” and “Luhansk People’s Republic.” Both Surkov and Malofeev are under Western sanctions for the war crimes they committed during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Zelenskiy does not have command of the Ukrainian language. Ukrainian is the one and only official language of Ukraine. In political debates – which he has mostly shunned – Zelenskiy slips back into his native Russian whenever he is flustered or angry (which is often). In his TV show and live comedy act, Zelenskiy has mocked Ukrainian culture and the Ukrainian language. He described himself on April 19th as “a Ukrainian citizen” but pointedly did not describe himself as a Ukrainian.
Zelenskiy is a four times draft dodger. He was sent draft notices in April, June and August of 2014 and in May 2015. He ignored them all. This is a time of war in Ukraine, being invaded and partially occupied by the Russian Federation. Draft evaders are liable for jail terms of between two to five years in Ukraine. Disloyal to Ukraine, Zelenskiy is wholly unsuitable to to serve as commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian military.
Ukraine has the sovereign right to liberate its territory of Crimea and Donbas – by military force if necessary – and expel the Russian invaders. Zelenskiy gave a huge gift to his Russian benefactors when he said on April 18th that he would not exercise this right.
On April 19th, Zelenskiy described the Russian soldiers invading Ukraine as “insurgents” – повстанці. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine immediately corrected him, tweeting: “«We do not have «rebels». We have Russian aggression» - reminder of the President of Ukraine – Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will not forget and will not forgive about that. Never!!!”
Zelenskiy lacks wisdom, humility, insight, dutifulness, respect, excellence, honour, self-sacrifice, generosity, compassion. Worst of all, he is is not inspired by a love of Ukraine. Rather he mocks Ukraine and its people. All of this makes him unworthy to be President of Ukraine.
The clown Zelenskiy is a perfect agent of chaos for aggressor Russia. His political naivety makes it unlikely he will do anything positive for Russia, but that’s not the point. What is certain is that he will diminish Ukraine in strength of purpose. If his nihilist comedy is translated into political power in Ukraine it will serve the divide-and-conquer strategy of the Russian aggressor. That is enough for the sabotage and disruption agent Putin.

Nazvao je Ruse pobunjenicima, a ne agresorima.
To bi bilo isto kao da netko kaže da su naši Srbi bili pobunjenici, a ne srbočetnički agresori iz Srbije, i da taj postane predsjednik Hrvatske.
