In Eastern Europe, Radioactive Materials Smugglers Are Looking for ISIS Buyers
Breakdown in relations between West and Russia makes it easier for Moldovan gangsters to acquire nuclear materials; in latest known case, smuggler sought ISIS buyer for cesium cache big enough to contaminate several city blocks.

The latest known case came in February this year, when a smuggler offered a huge cache of deadly cesium — enough to contaminate several city blocks — and specifically sought a buyer from the Islamic State group.
In this June 27, 2011 photo provided by the Moldova General Police Inspectorate, Teodor Chetrus is detained by a police officer in Chisinau, Moldova during a uranium-235 sting operation.
Moldovan investigators can't be sure that the suspects who fled didn't hold on to the bulk of the nuclear materials. Nor do they know whether the groups, which are pursuing buyers who are enemies of the West, may have succeeded in selling deadly nuclear material to terrorists at a time when the Islamic State has made clear its ambition to use weapons of mass destruction.

U.S. Investigating How ISIS Got All Those Toyota Pickups
Toyota, the world's second largest car maker, says it has no idea how its vehicles go into the hands of terrorists but is assisting the investigation.
Lukman Faily, the Iraqi ambassador to the U.S., told ABC News that in addition to re-purposing older trucks, his government believes ISIS has acquired “hundreds” of “brand new” Toyotas in recent years.
Toyota’s own figures show sales of Hilux and Land Cruisers tripling from 6,000 sold in Iraq in 2011 to 18,000 sold in 2013, before sales dropped back to 13,000 in 2014.
